In order to get the most of your weight loss program, regular exercise should be incorporated into your lifestyle. Although it should be a major part of losing weight many people try to get by without exercise because they want to take the easy way out or they just do not know the best exercise to lose weight for them.

The question for many becomes is there a best exercise to lose weight? There is no one size fits all exercise but some exercises are more effective than others.

With that said, following are three simple exercises that have been proven to help reduce weight when used on a consistent basis.

A Brisk Walk

If you are new to exercise, walking is a great place to begin.

Walking while not as high impact as some other exercises can still help you lose weight and get in shape.

If you are just starting to exercise, dont overdo it. Walk as far as you can the first day and try to make it a little bit further each day thereafter. Eventually you will get to a point where you can walk several miles in record time.

Walking and exercise in general will not only improve your health but it can dramatically reduce your chances of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and can also help lower cholesterol.

Aerobic Dance

Aerobic dance routines such as Zumba and Hip Hop Abs burn fat and calories which promote weight loss. They also improve muscle strength and circulation of oxygen through the body.

Not only does aerobic dance help you shed pounds but it also increases energy, lowers your stress levels and reduces your risk of cardiovascular disease.

To get the most out of your exercise program, workout at a minimum of three times per week for 30 plus minutes. Five times weekly is highly recommended.

Regular Laps In The Pool

Swimming regularly will help you lose weight, tone your body and improve your flexibility.

Swimming utilizes muscles all throughout the body, which makes it great for toning, strengthening and weight loss.

If you combine healthy eating habits with swimming you will soon begin to notice dramatic positive improvements in your body.

When doing any type of exercise, it is important to do warm up exercises before starting and cool down exercising when finished.

The key to losing weight and getting fit is to stop procrastinating and get started. Using either one or a combination of these three exercises will put you on the path to a slimmer and healthier you.

While any exercise is better than none, the best exercise to lose weight is the one you enjoy and produces the results you desire.

Prior to starting a weight loss program it is important to check with your physician to obtain his or her approval first.
